2016年10月份預先包裝食物之營養素含量及致敏物檢測結果
Results of Compliance Test for Nutrition Labelling and Declaration of Allergens for October 2016

為確保預先包裝食品符合《食物及藥物(成分組合及標籤)規例》,中心自2012年起,一直有抽取預先包裝食物的樣本作檢測,其中包括檢測營養素含量及致敏物。2016年10月份有關營養素含量及致敏物檢測結果的報告,已上載到中心網頁。
The CFS has been testing, among other things, nutrients and allergens in prepackaged food samples for compliance under the Food and Drugs (Composition and Labelling) Regulations since 2012. Monthly Report on Results of Compliance Test for Nutrition Labelling and Declaration of Allergens under the Regulations for October 2016 has been uploaded onto the CFS website.

食物中鋁的含量風險評估跟進研究報告
A follow-up risk assessment results on aluminium in food

中心最近完成一項有關食物中鋁的含量風險評估跟進研究,結果顯示,本港一些食品廣泛使用含鋁食物添加劑,其中以蒸包或蒸糕、部分烘焙食品(如雞蛋仔和窩夫)及海蜇(可供即食)最為常見。研究亦發現,鋁攝入量一般和攝入量偏高的市民,健康受嚴重影響的機會不大;但若經常食用同一牌子鋁含量高的食品,健康受鋁影響的風險會相應增加。
CFS announced the results of a recently completed follow-up risk assessment study on aluminium in food. The results showed that aluminium-containing food additives were widely used in certain food products available in Hong Kong, in particular steamed bread/bun/cake, some bakery products such as egg waffle and waffle, and jellyfish (ready-to-eat form). The study also found that the average and high consumers among the general population were unlikely to experience major undesirable health effects. Nevertheless, for consumers with brand loyalty to products with high aluminium contents, risk to health from aluminium would be increased.

List of Small Volume Exemption Products

根據小量豁免制度,在香港每年銷售量不超過30,000件的相同版本預先包裝食物,可獲授予營養標籤豁免。有關豁免產品名單已上載至中心網頁。
Under the Small Volume Exemption (SVE) Scheme, prepackaged foods of the same version with annual sales volume in Hong Kong not exceeding 30,000 units may be granted with exemption from providing nutrition labelling. List of SVE products has been uploaded onto the CFS website.

Roving Exhibition on Food Safety

12月的巡迴展覽內容包括食物安全5要點、預防食物交叉污染、避免食用河豚、營養標籤、食物含丙烯酰胺、反式脂肪、雪卡毒素及食物安全條例。展覽將設於北角政府合署、荃灣廣場(住宅)及何文田廣場。
The coming exhibitions will be held in December at North Point Government Offices, Tsuen Wan Plaza (Residential) and Homantin Plaza. Panels cover topics on 5 keys to food safety, prevention of cross-contamination, avoid consuming puffer fish, nutrition labelling, acrylamides, trans fats, ciguatoxins and Food Safety Ordinance.

小龍蝦、橫紋肌溶解症及哈夫病
Red swamp crayfish, rhabdomyolysis and Haff Disease

哈夫病是指患者在進食魚類24小時內出現的不明原因的橫紋肌溶解症(骨骼肌纖維溶解)。哈夫病常見的病徵是肌肉無力、肌肉疼痛、肌肉僵硬和尿液呈咖啡色,但不會出現神經系統症狀(即神經系統受影響而觸發的病徵,如麻痺和癱瘓),故有別於食用某些海產而引致的食物中毒(如麻痺性貝毒、雪卡毒、河豚毒素引起的中毒等)。
Haff disease is an unexplained rhabdomyolysis (breakdown of skeletal muscle fibers) in a person who ingested fish within the 24 hours before onset of illness. Haff disease typically presents with muscle weakness, muscle pain, muscle rigidity and dark brown urine. However, neurologic symptoms (i.e. symptoms caused by the nervous system such as numbness and paralysis) are absent. This is different from poisoning caused by the consumption of some seafood (e.g. paralytic shellfish poisoning, ciguatera poisoning, puffer fish poisoning, etc.).

The coming exhibitions will be held in late October at Luen Wo Hui Market and Tai Po Government Offices. Panels cover topics on nutrition labelling, control of food temperature, natural toxins, 5 keys to food safety, prevention of cross-contamination and avoid consuming puffer fish.

傳達資源小組的主題展覽
Theme Exhibitions in Communication Resource Unit

中心轄下的傳達資源小組於10月至12月舉辦「食物安全在你手」及「有機食品知多一點點」展覽。展覽活動包括播放教育短片及設置展板讓市民增加對食物安全的認識,更備有各種食物安全宣傳單張供公眾取閱。小組位於九龍旺角花園街市政大廈8樓,歡迎到場觀賞。
The Communication Resource Unit (CRU) of the CFS will organize exhibitions on the theme of " Enhanced Food Safety Let's Reduce Risks" and " Know more about Organic Food". The exhibitions include short food safety and education videos and exhibition boards to enrich the public's knowledge on food safety. You are welcome to join us at the CRU at 8/F, Fa Yuen Street Municipal Services Building, Mongkok, Kowloon.

月餅時令食品調查(第二期)
Seasonal food surveillance project on mooncakes (second phase)

中心最近公布一項有關月餅的時令食品調查(第二期)結果,約一百七十個樣本中,除較早前公布的一個預先包裝月餅樣本的飽和脂肪酸含量與其營養標籤上的標示值不符外,其餘樣本全部通過檢測。
CFS announced the second-phase results of a seasonal food surveillance project on mooncakes recently. The results of some 170 samples tested were satisfactory except for a prepackaged mooncake sample detected with saturated fatty acids content inconsistent with the declared value on its nutrition label which was announced earlier.

Roving Exhibition on Food Safety

9月下旬的巡迴展覽內容包括營養標籤、控制食物温度、進食帶子和扇貝須知、食物安全5要點、預防食物交叉污染及食物安全條例。展覽將設於筲箕灣愛東商場及渣華道街市。
The coming exhibitions will be held in late September at Oi Tung Shopping Centre in Shau Kei Wan and Java Road Market.  Panels cover topics on Nutrition Labelling, Control of Food Temperature, Take Notice of Eating Scallops, 5 Keys to Food Safety, Prevention of Cross-contamination, and Food Safety Ordinance.

2016年7月份預先包裝食物之營養素含量及致敏物檢測結果
Results of Compliance Test for Nutrition Labelling and Declaration of Allergens for July 2016

為確保預先包裝食品符合《食物及藥物(成分組合及標籤)規例》,中心自2012年起,一直有抽取預先包裝食物的樣本作檢測,其中包括檢測營養素含量及致敏物。2016年7月份有關營養素含量及致敏物檢測結果的報告,已上載到中心網頁。
The CFS has been testing, among other things, nutrients and allergens in prepackaged food samples for compliance under the Food and Drugs (Composition and Labelling) Regulations since 2012. Monthly Report on Results of Compliance Test for Nutrition Labelling and Declaration of Allergens under the Regulations for July 2016 has been uploaded onto the CFS website.

9月的巡迴展覽內容包括營養標籤、反式脂肪、避免食用河豚、食物安全5要點、天然毒素、孕婦食物安全建議、控制食物溫度、旅客食物安全建議、進食帶子和扇貝須知、預防食物交叉污染及食物安全條例。展覽將設於宜安街街市、西營盤街市、青衣街市、筲箕灣愛東商場及渣華道街市。
The coming exhibitions will be held in September at Yee On Street Market, Sai Ying Pun Market, Tsing Yi Market, Oi Tung Shopping Centre in Shau Kei Wan and Java Road Market. Results of targeted surveillance on coagulase-positive staphylococci organisms in ready-to-eat food

中心最近完成一項評估即食食品含凝固酶陽性葡萄球菌(包括金黃葡萄球菌)情況的專項食品調查。結果顯示,全部樣本通過檢測。
CFS announced the results of a recently completed targeted food surveillance project on coagulase-positive staphylococci organisms (including Staphylococcus aureus) in ready-to-eat food, which showed that all samples passed the test.

根據小量豁免制度,在香港每年銷售量不超過30,000件的相同版本預先包裝食物,可獲授予營養標籤豁免。有關豁免產品名單已上載中心網頁。
Under the Small Volume Exemption (SVE) Scheme, prepackaged foods of the same version with annual sales volume in Hong Kong not exceeding 30,000 units may be granted with exemption from providing nutrition labelling. List of SVE products has been uploaded onto the CFS website.

傳達資源小組的主題展覽
Theme Exhibitions in Communication Resource Unit

中心轄下的傳達資源小組於7月至9月舉辦「食物風險管理」及「食物中的除害劑及獸藥殘餘」展覽。展覽活動包括播放教育短片及設置展板讓市民增加對食物安全的認識,更備有各種食物安全宣傳單張供公眾取閱。小組位於九龍旺角花園街市政大廈8樓,歡迎到場參觀。
The Communication Resource Unit (CRU) of the CFS will organise exhibitions on the theme of "Food Safety Plan" and "Pesticide and Veterinary Drug Residues in Food" from July to September. The exhibitions include short food safety and education videos and exhibition boards to enrich the public's knowledge on food safety. You are welcome to join us at the CRU at 8/F, Fa Yuen Street Municipal Services Building, Mongkok, Kowloon.

即食食品含副溶血性弧菌專項調查
Results of targeted surveillance on Vibrio parahaemolyticus in ready-to-eat food

中心最近完成一項評估即食食品含副溶血性弧菌情況的專項食品調查。結果顯示,全部樣本通過檢測。
CFS announced the results of a recently completed targeted food surveillance project on Vibrio parahaemolyticus in ready-to-eat food, which showed that all samples passed the test.

2016年度「全城減鹽減糖 – 健康煮意從小起」食物安全講座系列
2016 Food Safety Talk Series on "Hong Kong's Action on Salt and Sugar Reduction – Healthy Cooking Starts Small"

為配合本年度食物安全日「全城減鹽減糖 – 健康煮意從小起」的主題,食物安全中心於七月至十二月期間舉辦一系列講座,向公眾及業界推廣減少食物中鹽和糖的好處,並提供一些簡單實用的方法,讓市民能在日常生活中貫徹少鹽少糖的飲食習慣。同時,講座亦包括有「食物安全重點控制」系統及「食物安全五要點」等內容。從而提高大家對食物安全及健康飲食的認識,務求食得開心、健康又安心。
The theme of this year's Food Safety Day is "Hong Kong's Action on Salt and Sugar Reduction: Healthy cooking starts small". Echoing the theme, CFS is going to hold a series of talks on related topics during the period from July to December 2016. The talks will promote the benefits of reducing dietary intake of salt and sugar to the public and the food trade, and provide some simple and practical tips to help the public adopt a healthy eating habit with less salt and sugar in daily life. The talks will also cover other topics such as HACCP and Five Keys to Food Safety. It is hoped that by raising awareness on the importance of food safety and healthy diet, everyone can enjoy food in a safe and healthy way.

小營廚減鹽減糖好煮意比賽
Junior Chefs' Culinary Ideas of Salt and Sugar Reduction Competition

為鼓勵學童從小培養低鹽低糖的健康飲食習慣,中心與教育局、降低食物中鹽和糖委員會、中華廚藝學院,以及家庭與學校合作事宜委員會協辦了「小營廚減鹽減糖好煮意比賽」,並已於6月30日於「食物安全日2016」揭幕禮同場進行決賽及頒獎禮。參賽者現場展示自創的減鹽減糖食譜,並烹煮相關菜式,帶出只要花小小心思,減少鹽糖分量亦能保持食物美味的信息。
To encourage students to develop a healthy eating habit with low intake of salt and sugar at an early age, the CFS co-organised the Junior Chefs' Culinary Ideas of Salt and Sugar Reduction Competition with the Education Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food, the Chinese Culinary Institute and the Committee on Home-School Co-operation. The final adjudication and award presentation ceremony of the competition was held concurrently with the Food Safety Day 2016 opening ceremony on 30 June. The finalists presented their novel recipes of low salt and sugar and demonstrated on site their dishes to bring out the message that creativity could add flavour to food prepared with reduced salt and sugar.

Roving Exhibition on Food Safety

7月的巡迴展覽內容包括食物安全5要點、控制食物温度、反式脂肪、食物含丙烯酰胺、孕婦食物安全建議、食物安全條例、營養標籤、預防食物交叉污染、天然毒素及殘餘獸藥。展覽將設於銅鑼灣街市、深水埗保安道街市、西貢街市及香港仔利東邨。
The coming exhibitions will be held in July at Causeway Bay Market, Po On Road Market in Shum Shui Po, Sai Kung Market and Lei Tung Estate in Aberdeen. Panels cover topics on 5 keys to food safety, control of food temperature, trans fats, acrylamide, food safety advice for pregnant women, Food Safety Ordinance, nutrition labelling, prevention of cross-contamination, natural toxins, and veterinary drug residues.

消費者委員會聯合研究:湯水的鈉含量

Sodium Content in Soups

 

攝取過多鈉()可能會增加患上高血壓的風險。而高血壓若不及早診治,可引致心臟病和中風等慢性疾病。食物安全中心(中心)的總膳食研究指出湯水是本地成年人從食物攝取鈉的第二大來源。中心與消費者委員會合作,測試13種本港食肆常見的湯水的鈉含量,並檢視了數款預先包裝湯水樣本的營養標籤資料,以監察這些湯水的鈉含量。同時,亦希望透過比較同一種湯水在不同食肆或商店的鈉含量,藉此增加公眾認識及推動食物業界透過改良食品配方提供減鈉的湯水。

Consuming too much sodium (salt) may lead to developing hypertension. Untreated high blood pressure can lead to chronic diseases such as heart attack and stroke. Soups were found to be the second major contributors to the total dietary sodium intake of the adult population in Hong Kong. The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) and the Consumer Council (CC) thus has conducted a joint study, and tested the sodium content in 13 types of soups commonly available in local restaurants, as well as checked the nutrition labelling information of some of these prepackaged soups. This study aims to provide an update on the levels of sodium contents in these soups; and to compare the sodium contents in these products from different food outlets, with a view to informing the public and urging the trade to provide soups with less sodium through product reformulation.

小營廚減鹽減糖好煮意比賽網上投票正式開始

Junior Chefs'Culinary Ideas of Salt and Sugar Reduction Competition – Public Voting for Most Liked Award

 

「小營廚減鹽減糖好煮意比賽」由食物安全中心與教育局合辦,降低食物中鹽和糖委員會、中華廚藝學院和家庭與學校合作事宜委員會協辦,各組別的入圍食譜已上載至專題網站作公開投票,各組別得票最高之食譜將獲選為「網上最具人氣獎」。投票由即日起至2016622日中午12時止。

Junior Chefs'Culinary Ideas of Salt and Sugar Reduction Competition is co-organised by the Centre for Food Safety and the Education Bureau, in collaboration with the Committee on Salt and Sugar Reduction in Food, the Chinese Culinary Institute and the Committee on Home-School Co-operation. Recipes of finalist teams have been uploaded to a specific website for public voting. The recipe with the highest number of votes of each category will be awarded the Most Liked Award. Voting will end at 12:00 noon on 22nd June, 2016.
