(1) 大灣區食品標準

 

粵港澳大灣區(大灣區)標準(「灣區標準」)的建設可以促進三地互聯互通和融合發展,深化香港與內地和澳門之間的經貿交流和合作。於二○二三年四月二十四日公布的「灣區標準」清單涵蓋食品質量和安全、粤菜、交通、機電產品,以至醫療、護理、教育及電競等領域合共110個項目。於二○二三年十二月七日發布的第二號「灣區標準」清單則額外加入了51個項目。

(4) 慎防生蠔存有的風險

 

供生吃的蠔在進食前沒有經過加熱處理殺死病原體,因此是高風險食物。除了活蠔以外,市面可供市民購買的生蠔往往是預先去殼的冷藏或冰鮮生蠔,處理不當可導致細菌污染及蠔隻變壞。

 

孕婦、嬰幼兒、長者和免疫力弱人士應避免進食生或未煮熟的蠔。

(1) Greater Bay Area Food Standards

 

The development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) standards can promote the interconnectivity and integrated development of the three places, deepening Hong Kong's economic and trade exchanges and co-operation with the Mainland and Macao. The list of GBA standards which covers a total of 110 items in the fields of food quality and safety, Cantonese cuisine, transportation, mechanical and electrical products, as well as medical care, nursing care, education, e-sports, etc. announced on 24 April 2023. 51 items were further issued on 7 December 2023 with the promulgation of "Notice Concerning the List of GBA Standards (No.2)".

(3) Food Safety Tips for Chinese New Year

 

As an important family reunion occasion in Hong Kong, food and drinks play a crucial part of the Chinese New Year's celebration. However, it is also important to think about food safety. In addition to following the Five Keys to Food Safety, the CFS recommends the following food safety tips to ensure that holiday feasts are not only full of flavour but also safe.

(4) Beware of the Inherent Risks of Raw Oysters

 

Oysters for raw consumption are a high-risk food as there is no heat treatment to kill pathogens before eating. Besides those sold alive, raw oysters available in the local market are often pre-shucked in either frozen or chilled forms. If not handled properly, it can lead to bacterial
contamination and deterioration of the shellfish.

 

Pregnant women, infants and young children, the elderly and people with weakened immunity
should avoid consuming raw or undercooked oysters.

(1)   安中心公布十一月份食物安全報告

 

食物環境衞生署(食環署)食物安全中心(中心)於十二月二十九日公布十一月份食物安全報告,結果顯示在約六千三百個完成檢測的食物樣本中,除較早前已公布的六個樣本外,其餘樣本全部通過檢測,整體合格率約百分之九十九點九。

(2)   食安中心公布食物中多環芳烴含量風險評估研究報告

 

食物環境衞生署(食環署)食物安全中心(中心)於十二月二十八日公布,中心最近完成一項有關食物中多環芳烴(又稱多環芳香族碳氫化合物)含量的風險評估研究,從市面選取三百個食物樣本檢測該類物質的含量,以估算本港成年人從膳食攝入該類物質的分量,及評估其對健康的風險。結果顯示,在一般食用情況下,目前從膳食攝入多環芳烴的分量對公眾健康的影響不大。

(4)   自備餐盒的食物安全建

自備餐盒上學或上班方便我們享用家常菜,是常見的做法。然而,這些餐食在食用前可能會在不安全的溫度下儲存或運送一段時間,因此容易受到污染,令有害細菌滋生。若儲存不當,致病菌可繁殖至危險水平或產生毒素,引致食物中毒。

News on the Centre for Food Safety (CFS) online:

 

 

(1)   Food safety report for November

 

The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department released on December 29 that the findings of its food safety report for last month.  The results of about 6 300 food samples tested were found to be satisfactory except for six unsatisfactory samples which were announced earlier.  The overall satisfactory rate was 99.9 per cent.

(2)   Risk assessment study results on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in food

 

The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department announced on December 28, the results of a recently completed risk assessment study on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in food.  A total of 300 food samples were taken from the local market to estimate the dietary exposure to PAHs of the local adult population arising from consumption of these food items, and to assess the associated health risk.  The study results showed that the current dietary exposure to PAHs is of low public health concern under usual consumption.

(4)   Food Safety Advice for packed meals

 

Packing meals to schools and workplaces is a common practice for us to enjoy homemade dishes conveniently.  However, these meals may be stored or transported at unsafe temperatures for some time before consumption, making them susceptible to contamination and harmful bacterial growth.  If these meals are not stored properly, disease-causing bacteria ca multiply to dangerous levels or produce toxin, leading to food poisoning.
