賀年食品調查
Lunar New Year Food

中心上月已公布賀年食品第一期調查結果。農曆新年將至,中心已完成第二期調查,從不同零售商(包括網上零售商)抽取了糕點(如蘿蔔糕和年糕)、油器(如煎堆和油角)、糖果、湯圓、瓜子及海味等樣本,除進行化學及微生物測試外,亦包括營養成分測試,詳情及結果已上載於中心網頁。
The CFS announced the first-phase test results on Lunar New Year (LNY) food last month. As the LNY is around the corner, the CFS has completed the second phase of the surveillance project. Different types of LNY food, including steamed puddings (e.g. turnip puddings and festive cakes), fried dumplings (e.g. sesame balls and crispy triangles), candied fruits, glutinous rice balls, melon seeds and dried aquatic products, were collected from different retailers (including online retailers). In addition to carrying out chemical and microbiological tests, the CFS also conducted nutrition content analysis of food samples. Details and results have been uploaded onto the CFS website.

Dear students
Please form groups of 5 among yourselves and elect one group leader. The group leader can then start a group following the steps below:
1. Please go to "Discussion Board" in this Blackboard
2. Click "Groups"
3. Choose any group 
4. Enter your name as the first one
5. Provide the group number to every member of the group 
6. Every member of the group will join the same group as below:
Follow steps 1-2 as above
Step 3. Choose the group the leader has started
4. Enter your name and submit

The deadline of group submission is 20 January, 2017 Friday. Any students who have not joined any group by the deadline will be randomly assigned to a group who has less than 5 members.
NEXT: Then follow my instruction in a separate email to select special topics for your group through Google Form on the web. The email will be sent to you by next Monday, 16 January, 2017.

火鍋食物專題調查結果

Test results on hot pot food samples

 

中心最近完成一項普及食品的專題調查,評估火鍋食物的食用安全。三百五十個不同種類的火鍋食物樣本中,除較早前公布的一個瓶裝醋樣本檢出不准用於醋的防腐劑及一個沙茶醬樣本檢出防腐劑含量超出法例標準外,其餘樣本全部通過檢測。

 

CFS has recently completed a survey assessing the food safety of hot pot cuisine. The results of 350 hot pot food samples passed the tests except for one bottled vinegar sample found to contain a preservative not permitted in vinegar and one satay paste sample found to contain preservatives at levels exceeding the legal limits, which were announced earlier.

Roving Exhibition on Food Safety

 

1月份的巡迴展覽內容包括營養標籤控制食物温度殘餘獸藥有機食物及避免食用河豚展覽將設於大埔墟街市及宜安街街市。

The coming exhibitions will be held in January at Tai Po Hui Market and Yee On Market.  Panels cover topics on nutrition labelling, control of food temperature, veterinary drug residues, organic food and avoid consuming puffer fish.
