Question from a student

Q:
Dear Professor. Kwan,

Good evening. I am the student of FNSC 3180.

I am confused about which part of the third note will not be examined, which are started from page 92.

Do the following chapters of 3rd note will not covered in the final exam?
1. " Examples of the use of Redox Potential to Control Microbes" (p.90-92)
2.  "Controversial Preservation: Nitric, Nitrite, Antibodies and Food Irradiation (P.101-106)
3. "Legal Considerations and Food Safety Programs (p.107-111), except the part related of HACCP

And the remaining parts will all be including in the final exam?

Thank you

A:

All topics covered in lectures after mid-term examination will be covered in final examination.

The weights of the topics in examination of my courses are roughly proportional to the amounts of times I spend in the lectures.

Topics not covered in lectures will not be examined. For example, Nitrate, nitrite, antibiotics, and irradiation section was not covered.

But Redox Potential and HACCP has been covered. Materials related to them will be examined.

Best,

HS Kwan
