To: AAAA

Q&A:
Firstly, can E. coil tolerate low temperature, such as 5 degree celcius, such as apple cider and what is the upper, lower limit for its growth temperature and pH?
A: Apple cider after commercial sterilizaion is usually stored at room temperature so E. coli can grow. 5C would be too low for E. coli to grow.

Secondly, can Listeria monocytogenes growth at pH 5.2, such as vegetables?
A: Yes

Thirdly, Viruses can only growth on people but how they can be foodborne pathogens?
A: Viruses cannot grow on food but they can survive on food. When we eat the food with the foodborne viruses that can infect us, they would grow in us and cause diseases.

Best,

HSK

Q:
Sorry for bothering.

I wonder to ask you three more questions.

Firstly, can E. coil tolerate low temperature, such as 5 degree celcius, such as apple cider and what is the upper, lower limit for its growth temperature and pH?

Secondly, can Listeria monocytogenes growth at pH 5.2, such as vegetables?

Thirdly, Viruses can only growth on people but how they can be foodborne pathogens?

Hope to hearing from you soon.
