Re: What is the difference between KN95 and N95 mask?

Hi Dear,

With the increasing spread of Coronavirus, demand for N95 masks is also growing. But N95 mask is very expensive and also hard to come by. Why not consider a more cost-effective KN95 mask?

You may ask, what is the difference between KN95 and N95?

KN95 and N95 are at the same protection level, and their effective filtration rate is ≥95%.

N95 mask is produced according to American standard (NIOSH);

KN95 is produced according to the Chinese standard (GB2626-2006)

KN95 masks are the Chinese version of N95 masks and are nearly identical. On April 3rd the FDA approved KN95 masks as a suitable alternative to N95 masks and the CDC lists KN95 and N95 masks to be equivalent in protection.
