Q:
I am a student of FNSC3180. I would like to ask about questions
concerning the features of the bacteria. While I am doing revision, I
discovered that the information provided by the lecture notes, mindmap
drawn during the lecture, the textbook and also other
information from the internet are not the same, especially concerning
the incubation period and the infectious dose. Would you mind telling me
which source(s) should I rely on, or in fact both of them would be
accepted? Thank you very much.
A:
As I have mentioned in the class, the incubation periods of bacterial diseases are always approximations, depending on many factors. So the numbers you read in different sources are all true under their specific conditions. I will not ask the exact numbers of hours or days of the incubation periods in examinations.
