(2) 蒟蒻果凍規管建議的公眾諮詢

根據食品法典委員會,蒟蒻被認為是一種安全的食物添加劑。但由於小杯裝蒟蒻果凍的獨特產品設計和其結實質地,如食用方法不當可能會增加哽噎風險,尤其是對兒童和長者而言。

(3) 大灣區食品標準

粵港澳大灣區(大灣區)標準(「灣區標準」)的建設可以促進三地互聯互通和融合發展,深化香港與內地和澳門之間的經貿交流和合作。「灣區標準」是廣東當局聯繫粵港澳三地多個相關業界團體和企業、相關政府部門和機構、大學及專家共同研制,並在公開諮詢後制訂的。目前, 已制定及公布的「灣區標準」共有235項,涵蓋食品質量和安全、粵菜、預製菜、交通、機電產品,以至醫療、護理、教育及電競等領域。

(4) 預先包裝食物檢測結果每月報告

《食物及藥物(成分組合及標籤)規例》(《規例》)規定,預先包裝食物須標示食物的配料,以及表列能量及七種核心營養素,即碳水化合物、蛋白質、總脂肪、飽和脂肪、反式脂肪、鈉和糖(即“1+7”)的含量,而各類營養聲稱亦受到規管。預先包裝食物須標示各種配料,如食物含《規例》附表3第2(4E)條所指明的致敏物,亦須在配料表上標明。

(2) Public Consultation on Proposal on Regulation of Konjac-containing Jelly Confectionery

According to the Codex Alimentarius Commission, konjac is considered a safe food additive. However, improper consumption of mini-cup konjac jellies can increase the choking risk, particularly for children and the elderly people, due to their unique product design and firm texture.

(3) Greater Bay Area Food Standards

The development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) standards can promote the interconnectivity and integrated development of the three places, deepening Hong Kong's economic and trade exchanges and co-operation with the Mainland and Macao. These GBA standards are drawn up after the Guangdong authorities' liaison with various relevant groups and enterprises from the trade, related government departments and organisations, universities and experts in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and are formulated after public consultations. Currently, a total of 235 GBA Standards have been formulated and promulgated, covering the fields of food quality and safety, Cantonese cuisine, prepared dishes, transportation, mechanical and electrical products, as well as medical care, nursing care, education and e-sports, etc.

(4) Monthly Report on Results of Compliance Test

The Food and Drugs (Composition and Labelling) Regulations (the Regulations) require all applicable prepackaged foods to list out the ingredients, the content of energy plus seven core nutrients, namely, carbohydrates, protein, total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, sodium and sugars (commonly known as “1 + 7”), and regulate any associated nutrition claims. The ingredients to be listed include, among others, any of the substances specified in section 2(4E) of Schedule 3 to the Regulations which are known to cause allergy in some individuals, if present.

(1) 街頭小食店 - 給食物業的食物安全指引

 

中心已編製《街頭小食店 - 給食物業的食物安全指引》,適用於有固定鋪位的小食店,以及在美食博覽會、節慶、夜市和其他公眾活動期間經營的臨時食物攤檔。指引旨在協助經營者及員工在營運時採取食物安全措施,以製作和供應安全和合乎衞生的食物。

(2) 食安中心公布穀類早點營養標籤專項食品調查結果

 

中心於四月一日公布穀類早點營養標籤專項食品調查結果。在40個樣本中,三個樣本的總脂肪或飽和脂肪含量與其營養標籤上的標示值不符,另有一個樣本的食物標籤上的保質期格式不符合法例要求,餘下36個樣本則全部通過檢測。

(3) 夏日食物安全

 

從控制食物安全的角度來說,冰凍飲品有潛在的風險,若在製作過程中受污染,再置於不適當環境下,便可引致微生物繁殖,造成食物中毒。

(4) 旅遊人士的食物安全貼士

 

出門旅遊既令人心情興奮,又可增廣見聞,但亦有潛在風險。受污染的水或食物可能引致各種疾病,當中包括輕微和短期的徵狀(例如嘔吐、腹瀉等),以及長期和較嚴重的疾病(例如霍亂、甲型肝炎等)。旅遊人士在外地時務須保持警覺,並應採取以下預防措施,以免染上經食物或水傳播的疾病。

(1) Street Food Stalls: Food Safety Guidelines for Food Businesses

 

The CFS has published the "Street Food Stalls: Food Safety Guidelines for Food Businesses". The guideline is applicable to permanent food stalls as well as temporary stalls operating at food exhibitions, festivals, night markets and other public events. It aims to help food business operators and food handlers implement proper food safety measures in their operations to produce and supply safe and wholesome food.

(2) CFS announces test results of targeted surveillance on nutrition labelling of breakfast cereal

 

The CFS of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department released on April 1 that the test results of a targeted food surveillance project on the nutrition labelling of breakfast cereal. Among 40 samples tested, three samples were found with total fat or saturated fat content inconsistent with the declared values on their nutrition labels, while one sample was found to have a label format on durability indication that was not in compliance with legal requirements. The remaining 36 samples passed the test.

(3) Summer Times and Food Safety

 

From food safety control perspective, iced drinks have potential risk. If the iced drinks are contaminated by bacteria or virus during the preparation, and further kept in improper conditions, the bacteria or virus contained can multiply and cause food poisoning in those who take the drinks.

(4) Food Safety Tips for Travellers

 

With summer approaching, many of you may well be planning to travel abroad. Travelling can be exciting and rewarding, but can also carry potential risks. Contaminated water or food can cause a variety of diseases that range from mild and short-lived symptoms (e.g. vomiting, diarrhoea) to longer and more severe diseases (e.g. cholera, hepatitis A). Travellers should remain vigilant when abroad and take the following precautionary measures to prevent food- or water-borne illness.

(3)   預防諾如病毒

 

諾如病毒是一種傳染性極高的病毒,通常透過受污染的食物和水,或接觸被感染的人迅速傳播並引致腸胃炎。諾如病毒能在物件表面長時間存活,而且只需極少的病毒量即可致病,因而使其能迅速造成大範圍傳播,並引起諾如病毒食物中毒事故 。

(3)   Prevention of Norovirus

 

Norovirus is a highly contagious virus that causes gastroenteritis and can rapidly spread through contaminated food, water, or direct contact with an infected person. The virus’s ability to persist on surfaces for long periods, combined with its low infectious dose, significantly contributes to its rapid and widespread transmission, resulting in food poisoning outbreaks.

(4) 食物安全中心公布食物中的T-2毒素、HT-2毒素和4,15-二乙酰藨草鐮刀烯醇風險評估研究報告

中心公布一項有關食物中T-2毒素(T-2)、HT-2毒素(HT-2)和4,15-二乙酰藨草鐮刀烯醇(DAS)的風險評估研究。研究結果顯示,本港成年人和較年輕群組從膳食中攝入上述霉菌毒素而影響健康的機會不大。

(1) Risk Assessment Studies Report No. 77 - Iodine in Food

This study aims to examine the iodine levels in iodine-rich foods (both non-prepackaged and prepackaged) available in the local market. It supplements the information on iodine contents in locally available foods reported by the Centre for Food Safety in the Dietary Iodine Intake in Hong Kong Adults risk assessment study report in 2011 (RA Study 2011), which facilitates consumers to make food choices to increase iodine intake from the diet.

(3) The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department steps up inspections at food premises

The Centre for Food Safety and the Environmental Hygiene Branch of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) continue to intensify joint inspections of food premises to safeguard food safety. The FEHD continues to step up inspections of food premises, including shops selling siu mei and lo mei. Special attention is being paid to food storage, preparation, and hygiene to ensure compliance with safety standards and relevant legislation.

(4) The Centre for Food Safety announces results of risk assessment study on T-2 toxins, HT-2 toxins and 4,15-diacetoxyscirpenol in food

The CFS announced the results of a risk assessment study on T-2 toxins, HT-2 toxins and 4,15-diacetoxyscirpenol (DAS) in food. The study results showed that it is unlikely for adults and younger populations in Hong Kong to experience adverse health effects due to dietary exposure to these mycotoxins.

(1) 「家家食安心: 認識食物安全五要點-居家食物安全建議」公眾講座及工作坊 2025

 

食物環境衞生署食物安全中心(中心)於本年五月至九月期間舉辦二零二五年度「家家食安心: 認識食物安全五要點 - 居家食物安全建議」公眾講座及工作坊。這個活動主要是向公眾人士宣傳如何在日常運用「食物安全五點」,只要做好「食物安全五點」,大多數食源性疾病是可以預防的。期間亦會介紹有關營養標籤及食物敏感的資訊。

(1) "Safe Food for All: To Understand Five Keys to Food Safety - Food Safety Advice at Home" Public Talk and Workshop 2025

 

The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department is organising the Public Talk and Workshop on "Safe Food for All: To Understand Five Keys to Food Safety - Food Safety Advice at Home" from May to September this year. The objective of the program is to promote to the public how to apply the "Five Keys to Food Safety" in daily life. Following the "Five Keys to Food Safety" can prevent most food-borne diseases. Information about nutrition labelling and food allergy will also be introduced.

(5) Roving Exhibitions on Food Safety in 2025

 

The CFS holds a series of exhibitions across the territory every year.  Panels covering different topics such as food safety and nutrition are shown to enhance public knowledge on how to make safe and suitable food choices.

 

Five roving exhibitions will be held in Wong Nai Chung Market, Electric Road Market, Trade and Industry Tower, Sheung Wan Market and Wo Che Plaza in March 2025.
