食肆長周末期間提高警惕並保持良好衞生和社交距離
Food premises stay vigilant and maintain good hygiene and social distancing over long weekend

國慶及中秋長週末在即,預料將會有更多市民外出用膳。為減低2019冠狀病毒病在食肆傳播的風險,食肆經營者應保持高水平的清潔及衞生標準,包括:
(1)    桌子與桌子之間有1.5米的距離或有作有效分隔的隔板;
(2)    進食時間以外須一直佩戴口罩;
(3)    在進入處所前須量度體溫;
(4)    須為該處所的人提供消毒潔手液等。

More people are expected to eat out upon the long weekend over the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. To minimise the ri sk of transmission of COVID-19 in food premises, operators of food premises are advised to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, including:
(1)    Tables must be arranged in a way to ensure there is a distance of at least 1.5 m or some form of partition which could serve as effective buffer between one table and another table;
(2)    A person must wear a mask except when eating/drinking;
(3)    Body temperature screening must be conducted before the person is allowed to enter the catering premises; and
(4)    Hand sanitisers must be provided for any person at the premises, etc.

For continuous upkeep of environmental hygiene, food business operators and food handlers must make concerted and persistent efforts to ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the premises and food safety. 月餅時令食品調查(第二期)調查結果
CFS announces results of seasonal food surveillance project on mooncakes (second phase)
 
中心公布最近完成一項有關月餅的時令食品調查(第二期)結果,一百六十三個樣本全部通過檢測。
The CFS announced that the results of a recently completed seasonal food surveillance project on mooncakes (second phase). The results of 163 samples tested were all satisfactory.

Results of Compliance Test for Nutrition Labelling and Declaration of Allergens for August 2020

為確保預先包裝食品符合《食物及藥物(成分組合及標籤)規例》,中心自2012年起,一直有抽取預先包裝食物的樣本作檢測,其中包括檢測營養素含量及致敏物。 2020年8月份有關營養素含量及致敏物檢測結果的報告,已上載到中心網頁。
The CFS has been testing, among other things, nutrients and allergens in prepackaged food samples for compliance under the Food and Drugs (Composition and Labelling) Regulation s since 2012. The report on Results of Compliance Test for Nutrition Labelling and Declaration of Allergens under the Regulations for August 2020 has been uploaded onto the CFS website.

重新考慮甜味劑的使用

Rethinking Sweeteners

世界衞生組織建議,糖攝取量應限制於每日所需總熱量的10%以下,如能進一步降低至5%或以下,則對健康有更多的益處。人造甜味劑提供甜味但無熱量,似乎是減少糖分攝取的理想選擇。然而,新的科學證據顯示,以人造甜味劑代替糖未必會帶來預期的健康益處。現在是時候重新考慮,我們可否只以甜味劑代替糖。

The World Health Organization recommends limiting sugar intake to less than 10% of daily caloric intake, with a proposal to lower this level to 5% or less for additional health benefits. By offering the taste of sweetness without any calories, artificial sweeteners appear to be one promising answer to sugar reduction. New scientific evidence, however, suggests that replacing sugar with artificial sweeteners may not have the health benefits we have expected. It is high time to rethink whether we can just replace sugars with sweeteners.

食安中心傳達資源小組於9月16日重新開放

The CFS's Communication Resource Unit Reopened since 16 September

為配合政府逐步恢復公共服務的安排,食安中心位於食環署南昌辦事處的傳達資源小組已於9月16日(星期三)重新開放。為減低病毒傳播的風險,傳達資源小組會採取特別措施,包括加強場地的清潔消毒、為所有訪客量度體溫及要求訪客進入場地前佩戴自備的口罩。

To align with Government arrangement on resumption of public services under a phased approach, the CFS's Communication Resource Unit (The Unit) located at FEHD Nam Cheong Offices was reopened since 16 September (Wednesday). The Unit adopts special measures to minimise the risk of the spread of the virus, including conducting enhanced cleaning and disinfection measures, conducting temperature checks for all visitors as well as requiring visitors to wear their own masks before admission.

月餅時令食品調查(第一期)調查結果

CFS announces results of seasonal food surveillance project on mooncakes (first phase)

中心公布最近完成一項有關月餅的時令食品調查(第一期)結果,一百三十七個樣本全部通過檢測。

The CFS announced that the results of a recently completed seasonal food surveillance project on mooncakes (first phase). The results of 137 samples tested were all satisfactory.
