Seasonal Food Surveillance - Lunar New Year Food (second phase)
中心最近完成有關賀年食品的時令食品第二期調查,為消費者及業界提供有關食品的食用安全資訊。
The CFS has recently completed the second phase of a seasonal food surveillance project on Lunar New Year food to provide relevant food safety information to consumers and the trade.

專項食品調查 -即食食品含蠟樣芽孢桿菌情況
Targeted Food Surveillance - Bacillus cereus in ready-to-eat food
蠟樣芽孢桿菌普遍存在於環境中,並可產生孢子,這些孢子能抵受熱力,承受烹煮溫度。蠟樣芽孢桿菌可產生不同毒素,引致兩類食物中毒。致吐型(引致嘔吐)中毒是由在食物中的耐熱毒素引起;如製作或貯存食品的過程不當,例如存放在室溫下過久,可引致該菌繁殖並有機會產生毒素。另一類中毒屬致腹瀉型,是由於吃下大量蠟樣芽孢桿菌而令毒素在腸道中產生。中心最近完成一項有關即食食品含蠟樣芽孢桿菌情況的專項食品調查,有關的檢測結果已上載於中心網頁。
Bacillus cereus is commonly found in the environment. It can form spores which are able to resist heat and survive the cooking temperature. Bacillus cereus can produce different toxins causing two types of food poisoning. Emetic (causing vomiting) intoxication is caused by a heat-stable toxins in food. Improper conditions in food processing and/or storage, such as leaving the food at room temperature for too long, may give rise to growth of Bacillus cereus as well as production of the aforesaid toxin. Another type of poisoning is diarrhoeal, which is caused by ingestion of a large amount of Bacillus cereus that can produce toxins in the intestine. The CFS recently completed a targeted food surveillance project on Bacillus cereus in ready-to-eat food. The findings has been uploaded onto the CFS website.

減鹽減糖及營養標籤短片創作比賽 - 報名日期延長至2015年5月31日
Salt and Sugars Reduction & Nutrition Labelling Video Competition – Enrolment extends to 31 May 2015
由於反應熱烈及徇眾要求,報名日期延至2015年5月31日。中心將於3月24日下午5時至6時於尖沙咀衞生教育展覽及資料中心安排多一場講座講解比賽詳情及介紹減鹽減糖的資料,有興趣參加比賽的人士可自由選擇參與。如欲出席講座,請致電3962 2091登記。
Due to overwhelming response, enrolment to the competition extends to 31 May 2015. CFS will conduct another briefing session on 24 March (5-6 pm) at the Health Education Exhibition and Resource Centre (Tsim Sha Tsui) to outline details of the competition and introduce information about salt and sugars reduction. People interested in the competition are welcome to join the briefing session. If interested in attending the briefing session, please call 3962 2091 for registration.

Roving Exhibition on Food Safety
食物安全巡迴展覽將於2月27日在旺角花園街街市舉行,讓市民認識孕婦食物安全建議、有機食物及殘餘獸藥。
A roving exhibition on Food Safety will be held on 27 February in Fa Yuen Street Market, Mong Kok for participants to know more about food safety advice for pregnant women, organic food and veterinary drug residues.
