《2025食物攙雜(金屬雜質含量)(修訂)規例》(《修訂規例》)已於 2025 年 6 月 27 日刊憲,更新有關食物中金屬雜質含量的安全標準。《修訂規例》將於 7 月 2 日提交立法會,進行先訂立後審議程序。

(3) 認識因食物而引起的哽喉風險 - 給家長和照顧者的建議

食物可對嬰幼兒造成哽喉風險,特別是在嬰幼兒未能充分咀嚼或嘗試把食物整塊吞下的時候。為減低嬰幼兒哽喉的風險,家長與照護者應與嬰幼兒一同遵從良好的進食習慣,並在選擇食物時要格外小心。

(1) Food Adulteration (Metallic Contamination) (Amendment) Regulation 2025 gazetted

The Food Adulteration (Metallic Contamination) (Amendment) Regulation 2025 (the “Amendment Regulation”) has been published in the Gazette on 27 June 2025 to update the food safety standards for metal content in food. The Amendment Regulation will be tabled before the Legislative Council on July 2 for negative vetting.

(3) Know More About Choking Risk of Food - Advice for Parents and Caregivers

Food can pose a choking risk in infants and young children, especially if they do not chew it well or try to swallow it whole. To reduce choking risk of foods in infants and young children, parents and caregivers should practice good eating habits with them together and take extra caution with their food choices.

(4) Make ice-cream and other frozen confections safely to keep food poisoning away

Frozen confections are high-risk food as they do not require further heat treatment to eliminate pathogens before consumption. Microbial contamination can occur at various stages of production. Improper storage temperatures also provide a favourable environment for bacterial growth. Dispensing machines and utensils should be regularly cleaned and disinfected to reduce microbiological hazards.

(1) Roving Exhibitions on Food Safety in 2025

The CFS holds a series of exhibitions across the territory every year. Panels covering different topics such as food safety and nutrition are shown to enhance public knowledge on how to make safe and suitable food choices.

Six roving exhibitions will be held in Hung Hom Market, Fa Yuen Street Market, Manhattan Hill, Tsuen Wan Government Offices, New Wan Chai Market and Luen Wo Hui Market in July 2025

(2) Operation of NuCal App will be ceased with effective from 18 September, 2025

In order to allocate resources for risk communication more effectively, the operation of Centre for Food Safety's NuCal App will be ceased from 18 September 2025. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Members of public are welcome to visit our designated website on nutrition labelling (https://www.cfs.gov.hk/nutritionlabel/) and follow our Facebook (www.facebook.com/cfs.hk) and Instagram (www.instagram.com/cfs.hk/) pages as well as WhatsApp Channel (https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaMrUsUIXnlz5oAkZG1T) to learn about nutrition labelling.

Thank you for the continued support of the NuCal App. The Centre for Food Safety will continue to disseminate information on food safety and nutrition labelling to the members of public and trade in a more interactive and diversified manner through different channels timely and effectively.

The latest issue of Food Safety Focus is now available. The topics include:
