(1) 大閘蟹時令食品調查結果滿意

食物環境衞生署(食環署)食物安全中心(中心)於十一月十三日公布有關時令食品大閘蟹的調查結果。今年一月至十月底,中心從入口及零售層面共抽取了一百零一個大閘蟹樣本進行化學測試,全部樣本測試結果滿意。

(2) 食環署與香港海關繼續打擊非法銷售大閘蟹及銷售來歷不明大閘蟹

為保障食物安全,食環署與香港海關自十月二十九日起展開聯合行動,突擊巡查各區大閘蟹銷售處所,打擊非法銷售大閘蟹的情況,以確保市面出售的大閘蟹符合相關法例規定。

(3) 入境旅客須知

根據香港法例第132AK章《進口野味、肉類、家禽及蛋類規例》,凡任何人攜帶野味、肉類、家禽或蛋類入境而沒有原產地發證實體簽發的衞生證明書及/或沒有食物環境衞生署的事先書面批准,均屬違法。違例者一經定罪,可被罰款港幣50,000元及監禁6個月。旅客應注意,在一般情況下,各地發證實體只會向食物業人士簽發衞生證明書作商業用途。

(4) 《2024年食物內防腐劑(修訂)規例 》

《2024年食物內防腐劑(修訂)規例》(《修訂規例》)已於2024年10月10日刊憲,並於10月16日提交立法會,進行先訂立後審議程序。行政長官《2022年施政報告》的政策措施訂明,政府會分階段審視和更新有關食物中添加劑的食物安全法例,進一步提升食物安全。首階段涵蓋食物中的防腐劑和抗氧化劑。行政長官《2023年施政報告》的政策措施進一步訂明,政府會在2024年內完成有關法例修訂工作。

(1) Test results of seasonal food surveillance project on hairy crabs all satisfactory

The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) on November 13 announced the test results of the seasonal food surveillance project on hairy crabs. From January 2024 to the end of October 2024, the CFS collected 101 hairy crab samples at the import and retail levels for chemical tests, and the test results were all satisfactory.

(2) FEHD and Hong Kong Customs continue to combat illegal sale of hairy crabs and sale of hairy crabs from dubious sources

To safeguard food safety, the FEHD and Hong Kong Customs launched joint blitz operations from October 29 to inspect selling points of hairy crabs in various districts and combat the illegal sale of hairy crabs, with a view to ensuring that hairy crabs on sale in the market comply with relevant requirements under the laws.

(3) Advice to Travellers

In accordance with the Imported Game, Meat, Poultry and Eggs Regulations (Chapter 132AK, Laws of Hong Kong), it is an offence to bring any game, meat, poultry or eggs into Hong Kong without health certificate issued by an issuing entity of the place of origin and / or without prior written permission granted by the FEHD. An offender shall be liable on conviction to a fine of HK$50,000 and to imprisonment for 6 months. Travellers should note that under normal circumstances, issuing entities of different places only issue health certificates to food traders for business purposes.

(4) Preservatives in Food (Amendment) Regulation 2024

The Preservatives in Food (Amendment) Regulation 2024 (the “Amendment Regulation”) has been published in the Gazette on 10 October 2024 and tabled at the Legislative Council on 16 October 2024 for negative vetting. It was set out in the Policy Measures of the Chief Executive's 2022 Policy Address that the Government would review and update by phases the food safety legislation relating to additives in food to further enhance food safety. The first phase covers preservatives and antioxidants in food. It was further set out in the Policy Measures of the Chief Executive's 2023 Policy Address that the Government would complete the related legislative exercise within 2024.
