Looking to improve your engagement with journalists in print, television, radio & digital media? USDA/FSIS and the non-profit Partnership for Food Safety Education are partnering to offer an intensive small group media training for health & food safety communicators to help them more effectively engage with the media.

One way the public health community can reduce the rate of foodborne illness is by working together to reinforce core food safety messages with consumers & generating media coverage on the topic of safe food handling & hand hygiene.

This entry level media training intensive is for active health & food safety communicators with positions in a government agency (federal, state or local in the United States) or the non-profit sector, who are interested in improving their effectiveness in engaging with journalists in print, television, radio & digital media when advocating for & promoting consumer food safety.

If you are interested in attending this full-day pre-conference workshop, you must pre-apply by Monday, February 11. Space is limited to just 20 qualified participants, and those accepted to participate will be notified by February 22, 2019.
