Food Safety Report for July 2014

中心會每月公布「食物安全報告」,分析當月的食品監察結果,令市民可適時地獲得最新的食物安全資訊。
As a way to deliver the latest food safety information timely to the public, the CFS releases the "Food Safety Report" every month, giving an account of the food surveillance sample result analyses.

風險評估硏究 - 保質期長的預先包裝冷藏食品的微生物質素
Risk Assessment Study - Microbiological Quality of Prepackaged Long Shelf Life Refrigerated Products

李斯特菌病主要是因食用受李斯特菌污染的食物引致,大部分身體健康的人在感染後不會出現病徵或只出現類似感冒症狀。但對孕婦、長者和免疫力較低的人,則可能構成嚴重的健康風險。中心最近完成評估保質期長的預先包裝冷藏食品在保質期屆滿時的微生物質素,特別是李斯特菌的含量。有關的評估結果已上載於中心網頁。
Listeriosis is usually caused by eating food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Most healthy individuals do not develop symptoms or only have flu-like symptoms. However, it can pose serious health risks for pregnant women, the elderly and those with a weaker immune system. The CFS has recently completed a risk assessment study on the microbiological quality, particularly the level of Listeria monocytogenes,of prepackaged long shelf life refrigerated food products at the end of shelf life. The findings has been uploaded onto the CFS website.

已獲小量豁免產品名單
List of Small Volume Exemption Products

根據小量豁免制度,在香港每年銷售量不超過30,000件的相同版本預先包裝食物,可獲授予營養標籤豁免。有關豁免產品名單現已上載中心網頁。
Under the Small Volume Exemption (SVE) Scheme, prepackaged foods of the same version with annual sales volume in Hong Kong not exceeding 30,000 units may be granted with exemption from providing nutrition labelling. List of SVE products has been uploaded onto the CFS website.

食物安全巡迴展覽
Roving Exhibition on Food Safety

10月的巡迴展覽內容包括旅遊人士食物安全建議、食物含丙烯酰胺、反式脂肪、營養標籤、雪卡毒素、有機食物及進食帶子和扇貝須知。展覽將設於元朗朗景臺 (住宅)、大埔倚龍山莊 (住宅)及深水埗保安道街市。
The coming exhibitions will be held in October 2014. The venues include Crystal Park in Yuen Long (Residential), Forest Hill in Tai Po (Residential) and Po On Road Market in Sham Shui Po. Panels cover topics on food safety advice for travellers, acrylamides in food, trans fats, nutritional labelling, ciguatoxins, organic food and take notice of eating scallops.
