食鹽專項食品調查
Targeted Food Surveillance on Edible Salt

食鹽是日常生活使用的調味料。近年有報道指有不法之徒在香港以外地區以工業鹽充當食鹽出售,令消費者對本港食鹽的安全產生疑慮。因此,中心從入口層面、多個零售點及食肆抽取共一百個預先包裝和散裝食鹽樣本,測試金屬污染物及亞硝酸鹽含量,全部樣本通過檢測。膳食中攝取過多的鈉(鹽)會增加患高血壓的機會,亦會增加患上中風及冠心病的風險。為避免攝取過量鈉(鹽)影響健康,市民須小心選擇,參考營養標籤,選擇鈉含量較低的食物。
Edible salt is a condiment used in daily lives. In recent years, media reports on the illegal act of selling industrial grade salt as edible salt in areas outside Hong Kong have sparked concerns among consumers over the safety of edible salt in Hong Kong. In view of this, the CFS collected 100 prepackaged and loose-pack edible salt samples at import level and from different retail outlets and restaurants for testing of metallic contaminants and nitrite. The test results were all satisfactory. Excessive sodium (salt) intake will increase the risk of developing hypertension, stroke and coronary heart disease. To avoid adverse health effects caused by excessive intake of sodium (salt), the public is advised to make careful choices of food by making reference to nutrition labels and choosing food with relatively lower sodium content.

已獲小量豁免產品名單
List of Small Volume Exemption Products

根據小量豁免制度,在香港每年銷售量不超過30,000件的相同版本預先包裝食物,可獲授予營養標籤豁免。有關豁免產品名單現已上載中心網頁。
Under the Small Volume Exemption (SVE) Scheme, prepackaged foods of the same version with annual sales volume in Hong Kong not exceeding 30,000 units may be granted with exemption from providing nutrition labelling. List of SVE products has been uploaded onto the CFS website.

食物安全巡迴展覽
Roving Exhibition on Food Safety

8月下旬的巡迴展覽內容包括食物安全五要點、反式脂肪、天然毒素、營養標籤及控制食物温度。展覽將設於大埔政府合署及元朗大橋街市。
The coming exhibitions will be held in late August at Tai Po Government Offices and Tai Kiu Market in Yuen Long. Panels cover topics on 5 keys to food safety, trans fats, natural toxins, nutrition labelling and control of food temperature.
